Lord, Most High God
Who created the sky
the earth, the sea
And all that is,
Praise, honour and glory
To your name forever!
In You, Truth, holiness,
Grace and beauty
always dwells.
Splendour and majesty
Radiate from your throne,
Power and majesty
adorn your sanctuary.
All cry “Glory,” in your dwelling,
You have made all things beautiful,
And they manifest the glory of
your splendour.
Their harmonious voices
Resound in all the universe.
At the rumbling of your thunder,
the ground trembles;
When the wind whispers
Through the leaves or
When the brook murmurs,
It is like a reflection of your grace.
And when the birds sing their songs,
So varied and so melodious,
we perceive like echo
the music of your voice.
You have birthed in our hearts
a desire to celebrate you.
You take pleasure in our praises
You receive our songs.
You gave us music
as a creative way
To express our feelings;
Thank you for this gift!
We want to use it to sing
your praises
And to reveal You
to those without hope.
Thank You for psalms,
anthems and hymns
Composed by those
who have gone before us
And those who are with us now!
Thank you for the musical gifts
that you gave to the Church.
Grant us the wisdom, in your love,
to use them for Your glory!
From our lowly place Lord,
May we join our praises
with choirs the of thousands of angels,
whom celebrate You in heaven.
While waiting for that glorious day,
Where we will sing a new song
In the company of your redeemed
from all times and all the places
Gathered in front of You.
Amen.
