Christian's attitude about music

A christian is a man who has accepted the salvation in Jesus Christ, and whose life he is recreating.

All his activities are aimed in this direction: "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good." (1st Thessalonians 5:21) He cannot accept things because "everybody likes them", or because "it's trendy". He has realized that behind this world is hidden the chief of evil spiritual forces. (Ephesians 2:2) What is "fashionable" today, tomorrow will be driven out with the wind.

The 21st century man no longer knows where he comes from or where he is going. He is there without knowing why, rootless and aimless. His life seems to be empty, absurd, without prospects. His art reflects his own ideology. He finds inspiration in himself, in his own laws, in his self-centered closed world and increasingly isolating the real world, as God gave it. Man is no longer in the image of God, but in an ideal, which is manmade.

The christian musician played or sang for the beauty of creation and his thankfulness to the Creator. He could express love or pain that other creatures inspired him. Music is determined by its inspiration, purpose and place.

Music's inspiration is very important. What motivated the composer? The joy that inspires the order and harmony of the universe, the pain of human suffering? Or rebellion, denial of reality and the construction of an autonomous world in opposition to the laws of creation?
